It was confirmed by the UK Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to the Asean EC, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines Richard Graham MP during a working visit to PT MRT Jakarta Center Office at Wisma Nusantara, Central Jakarta.
During the visit, he was accompanied by Country Director, Department for International Trade Oliver Richards; Country Head, Indonesia at UK Export Finance Richard Michael; and Senior Trade Advisor for Infrastructure Sector Efrizal Saputra.

PT MRT Jakarta President Director Wiliam Sabandar appreciated the visit where their arrival was a continuation of the previous meeting in London, England, last May 2022, which discussed the United Kingdom's support for the development of the MRT corridor.
"Very thank you for being here this afternoon," he exclaimed.
During a visit to London, he explained that there was a signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PT MRT Jakarta and Crossrail International regarding capacity building, including organizational structure and alternative funding schemes for the development of the Jakarta MRT line, planning and delivery strategies for the next phase, strategies for developing economic, social, and economic corridors, sustainable greenery along its line.
The visit also discussed the best potential partnerships before the upcoming G20 summit.
"We will immediately coordinate this letter of interest from the United Kingdom to the Central Government and Jakarta as the policy makers for the MRT development project," he stated.
